Tron: Legacy

This was only my second 3-D movie and I think I just expect too much from this technology. While true I found the movie visually stunning when on the grid but the 3-D didn't really jump out at me like I thought it should.

That's really all I have to say about this movie. The acting was OK. The characters were rather flat. Jeff Bridges (Kevin Flynn) sounded like he was channeling Lebowski with all his laid-back jargon.

My science fiction interest was peaked when I read the plot summary of this one. The relationships between the programs and the users was intriguing.

Maybe if I were into computer games I would've enjoyed it more.
Maybe if I had seen the original.
Maybe if I'd seen it in 2-D.

Anyway... it was rather forgettable. But if you're a fan of special effects (without 3-D) you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. The games on the grid are visually amazing and so is Olivia Wilde if you swing that way. But other than that it was... eh.

After three Long Islands I did find it exceptionally funny but I think that was unintentional by the filmmakers.
